Velvet Aces is a play-money entertainment site. This page explains who owns what and which open-source parts it uses.
Ownership
The Velvet Aces name, the site code, the page design, the 3D scene set-up, the card, chip and table artwork and the music and sound effects are © 2026 Aussi-Nexus Group (ABN 76 947 108 181). All rights reserved, except for the third-party parts listed below.
Original artwork and sound
- Cards, chips, felt, wood and velvet textures are drawn by code in your browser. No photographs or third-party image files are used.
- The background music and every sound effect are generated live by code using the Web Audio API. No recordings or samples are used.
Third-party software
- three.js (including the RoomEnvironment helper) is © three.js authors, used under the MIT licence. The licence text is in
js/vendor/LICENSE-three.txt. - Gloock and Instrument Sans fonts are used under the SIL Open Font Licence 1.1. Licence files are in
assets/fonts/.
Trademarks and no affiliation
Poker, blackjack, baccarat and video poker are traditional games whose rules are not owned by anyone. Velvet Aces is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any casino, gambling operator, card manufacturer or game brand. Any resemblance to a real brand is unintended.
Not gambling
Velvet Aces uses play chips only. Chips have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold, cashed out or transferred, and winning gives no prize of any kind. It is not a gambling service.
